Conservatory roof blinds are required to withstand conditions vastly different to those found within normal shading situations. The blinds are situated at the highest point in the conservatory where temperatures have been recorded as high as 63o C, therefore, a worthwhile roof blind system must be made from substantial components designed to last.

Heat reflective blinds made from a hard wearing fabric are also essential for a hot conservatory. As roof blinds lie in a horizontal position they are subjected to the effects of insects, condensation, dripping wood resin, dirt and dust and therefore a plastic non-stick backing layer is essential.
